OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Describe the current state of organ donation from a regulatory and oversight perspective (2) Demonstrate an understanding of opportunities in donation after cardiac death (DCD) (3) Identify the emerging opportunities for machine perfusion and normothermic regional perfusion that will impact the future of organ donation and transplantation.
