OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) ) Using case based examples and open dialogue, explore some of the more common themes in transplant that lead to “ moral angst” among health care professionals and treatment team. (2) Define the scope of moral injury and its relationship to professional burnout as well as themes of impact across the healthcare team. (3) Explore ways that we could potentially mitigated the impact of moral distress in an inherently high intensity field of transplantation.
