“Bereavement in Children and Families Following Suicide Death”

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1) Discuss annual changes in childhood bereavement prevalence rates due to parent death related to overdose, homicide by gunshot, suicide, and COVID-1,
2) Describe the current landscape of quality and access to care for bereaved children and families,
3) Discuss research findings describing how grief-related adversities and protective factors impact outcomes for bereaved children. 4) Identify approaches to assessing and addressing individual and family bereavement in practice.
