OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1.Review American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for the acute management of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, including the use of thrombolytic therapy, endovascular treatments and supportive care strategies.

2.Identify secondary stroke prevention plans based on the latest AHA recommendations, including antithrombotic agents, blood pressure management, lifestyle modifications and patient education to reduce the risk of recurrent strokes. 

3.Identify workups for patients presenting with stroke symptoms, including imaging techniques, laboratory tests and clinical assessments in the inpatient setting.
