OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Compare the effectiveness of gait training using a peroneal nerve stimulation device with the effectiveness of gait training without the device in improving gait ability and ankle-specific body functions (Hachisuka et al., 2021) and (2) Examine gender differences among veterans who underwent lower extremity amputations (LEAs) between 2005 and 2018, received care at the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) prior to undergoing amputation, and were prescribed a prothesis (Kuo et al., 2023).
