OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Evaluate the impact of animal-assisted therapy (AAT), specifically dog-assisted therapy, on motor functions and psychological status in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) (Vignolo et al., 2024) and (2) Examine survival and long-term outcomes of Parkinson's disease (PD) patients treated with deep brain stimulation (DBS) (Hitti et al., 2020).
