OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Explain the epidemiology of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), including prevalence, demographic trends and risk factors (2) Identify the common clinical signs and symptoms of OUD (3) Utilize appropriate screening tools to accurately diagnose OUD with established criteria (4) Describe an example of a comprehensive treatment plan for OUD, including pharmacologic, therapeutic and harm reductions approaches.
