OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Analyze and classify different types of nasal defects based on location, size, and depth to further understand the implications of these defects in the reconstruction planning.
2. Identify and apply various techniques for reconstructing the nasal lining and structural framework, including the use of grafts, flaps, and cartilage supports to restore functional and aesthetic integrity.
3. Discuss appropriate methods for skin reconstruction in nasal surgery, considering factors such as skin color, texture, and thickness, and effectively utilize local flaps, skin grafts, and other reconstructive options to achieve optimal outcomes.
