OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Discuss the history of bronchoscopy and interventional pulmonology, (2) Review the scope of practice of interventional pulmonology,

3) Review the indications, contraindications, techniques, and updates for:

  • Bronchoscopic techniques for peripheral nodules
  • Robotic-assisted bronchoscopy
  • Transbronchial cryobiopsy
  • Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction

4) Discuss new investigational procedures for COPD:

  • Bronchial Rheoplasty
  • Metered Cryospray
  • Targeted Lung Denervation
