OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Review Frailty Across the Transplant Journey: Examine how frailty influences both pre- and post-transplant outcomes and the integration of frailty metrics into transplant decision frameworks. (2) Evaluate the Liver Frailty Index: Explore the utility of the Liver Frailty Index as an objective tool for assessing frailty in patients with cirrhosis, including its role in mortality risk stratification and transplant decision-making. (3) Integrate Frailty Management into Clinical Practice: Identify strategies for addressing frailty in patients with cirrhosis through prehabilitation, nutritional interventions, and post-transplant care to improve patient outcomes.
