OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Describe key milestones in the evolution of medical simulation from early task trainers to high fidelity, technology-driven environments.
2. Distinguish between technical and non-technical skills in anesthesiology practice and explain why both are critical for safe and effective clinical practice.
3. Identify methods to assess and improve on-technical skills through simulation.
