Practice guidelines in Neurology are constantly updated to reflect advances in technology and changes in the clinical practice and management of patient care, this activity will provide opportunities to stay abreast changes and best practices in application.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

1. Discuss how medical professionals contribute to medical error.

2. Identify and select systematic ways to prevent patient harm.

3. Employ best practices in the care of the hospitalized patient to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
