OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:


1.Explain the relevance of Clinical Ethics as it applies to the daily practice of Hospitalists.
2.Review some of the key legal aspects that have salient cross over with clinical ethics and how this pertains to the care being delivered by Hospitalists.
3.Identify some common themes encountered within the hospital setting that with appropriate understanding of clinical ethics and legal constraints, will allow enhanced care.
