Physicians continually need updated knowledge on diagnostic modalities and interventional treatment recommendations when evaluating and diagnosing difficult cases of patients with cardiovascular diseases. Physicians need the most current data about the effects of treatment, results of various interventional techniques on patients with cardiovascular disease and strategies for using those techniques effectively.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

 

1. Identify morbidity and mortality issues in cardiovascular patients and implement learned strategies to address those

2. Discuss communication amongst peers, the employment of clinical research, and advances in cardiology that include techniques, risk, and benefits

3. Discuss evidence-based therapies, strategies/algorithms and the viability of novel technologies implementations and discuss potential solutions to diagnostic issues
