OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Describe trends in board certified (BC) SCI physicians who obtained their SCI BC via fellowship (F-BC) vs practice track (P-BC) (Svircev et al., 2022), (2) Highlight projected deficits in board certified SCI physicians over the next 15 years (Svircev et al., 2022), (3) Provide suggestions for how to recruit residents into the field of SCI (Svircev et al., 2022), (4) Discuss recent trends of pain medicine fellowship between Anesthesiology, PM&R, and Emergency Medicine (Pritzlaff et al., 2025), (5) Discuss the implications of these new trends (Pritzlaff et al., 2025), and (6) Identify ways to improve the appeal of pain medicine fellowship (Pritzlaff et al., 2025).
