OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Describe the normal pubertal progression in females and identify abnormalities of this process related to menses; (2) Describe the initial evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) in the adolescent population and develop a management plan for acute AUB and chronic AUB in the pediatric and adolescent population; (3) Discuss menstrual suppression and its roles in the management of periods; (4) Identify common vulvar and vaginal diagnoses and discuss management in the pediatric and adolescent population
