Overview
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We invite college and medical students, healthcare professionals, health-tech enthusiasts, and patient advocates to submit their projects and research for the Tech for Better inaugural conference. This event aims to explore the development, testing, and adoption of digital health technology solutions in Central Texas, with a focus on cardiovascular care.
You must complete an online profile to submit your research abstract. Click the Create Account/Login Bar in the top right corner of this website window (example below)
If you are not a Baylor Scott & White Affiliate, Create a Visitor Account.
If you are a BSWH Student or Affiliate, click BSWH Login and login with your BSWH credentials (similar to your BSWH email or other system applications)
Once you have completed your profile, please return to this window and click "REGISTER" to begin the submission form and upload your research.

Submissions will be reviewed and graded by a conference abstract review committee. Submissions selected for presenting at the conference will be notified and awarded with conference registration to participate in the event.
Tech for Better Inaugural Conference and Research Abstract Opportunity

Scope of the Conference:
- Health Care Costs: Addressing the unsustainable costs of healthcare.
- Quality and Access: Improving the quality of healthcare, public perception, and access to care.
- Digital Health Technologies: Exploring the implementation, best use, regulation, and future directions of digital health technologies in healthcare.
Organizational Mission Statement:
To establish a partnership between Baylor Scott & White and regional healthcare leaders, universities, and the community in digital healthcare for cardiovascular diseases, with the goal of improving access, cost, equity, and quality in cardiovascular care.
Submission Categories:
- Original Research: Include background, methods, results, and a discussion on cost and benefit. Judged on originality, quality, and value.
- Project Proposal: Include background, description of the technology, proposed implementation, and a discussion on cost and benefit.
- Use Case Demonstration: Include background, description of the technology, scalability, and a discussion on cost and benefit. Judged on originality, feasibility, and value.
Important Dates:
- Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 20, 2025, at midnight.
- Notification of Accepted Abstracts: April 1, 2025.
- Conference Dates: April 11-12, 2025.
- Selected Abstracts Live Presentation: April 11, 2025, PM – time to be assigned.
