OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to – (1) Analyze pathology and radiology data to formulate optimal treatment plans. (2) Discuss recent therapeutic advances through common case presentations. (3) Apply ACC/AHA guidelines to determine appropriate interventions for valvular heart disease. (4) Select and justify surgical or medical treatment modalities based on patient-specific factors. (5) Implement strategies for timely follow-up and surveillance post—intervention.
