The lecture series is designed to explore how genomics, data science, and personalized care are transforming the future of healthcare.  It will explore the rapidly evolving science of precision medicine, its novel applications for individualized treatments and enhanced effectiveness, early disease detection and improved patient outcomes.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1. List the overall complications of sickle cell disease. 

2. Identify fetal hemoglobin induction as a treatment strategy for sickle cell disease.

3. Discuss data on outcome of individuals with sickle cell disease receiving gene editing therapy.
