The standards are evolving new therapeutic approaches being introduced with different types of treatment options for patients with gastric cancer.  The standards of care for Gastro intestinal cancers are detected and diagnosed by upper endoscopy, barium, swallow, CT scan and biopsy.

1. Apply current NCCN guidelines and evidence-based standards when developing treatment plans for cancer patients.

2. Identify appropriate timing for surgical intervention in metastatic cancer cases based on best available evidence.

3. Integrate emerging therapeutic approaches and clinical trial options into multidisciplinary treatment planning when appropriate.

4. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary team to formulate comprehensive, patient-centered treatment strategies for complex cancer cases.
