1.Discuss how to use validated tools and biomarkers to estimate perioperative cardiac risk as well as determine need for further testing.

2.Apply guideline recommendations to avoid over-testing and unnecessarily delaying surgery.
 
3.Define MINS (Myocardial Injury after Noncardiac Surgery) and understand its impact on postoperative morbidity and mortality.
