OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

Differentiate the pathophysiologic mechanisms and clinical presentations of invasive cardiomyopathies, including cardiac amyloidosis and cardiac sarcoidosis.
Identify key preoperative clinical, imaging, and hemodynamic findings that influence patient evaluation and treatment planning.
Evaluate patients with invasive cardiomyopathies for surgical intervention and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) using established clinical criteria.
Develop evidence-based postoperative management strategies for patients undergoing advanced therapies for invasive cardiomyopathies, including monitoring for complications and optimizing outcomes.
