OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1.Discuss and develop a better understanding of the physiologic derangement in the hemodynamic and coagulation systems in trauma patients.
2.Apply strategies to improve communication between physicians and nurses during trauma resuscitations.
3.Incorporate the risk factors in trauma patients in decision making along with improving the technical knowledge of exposure techniques for trauma patients, specifically of the chest, abdomen and pelvis.
