The Physician as Educator series is a practical, skills‑focused activity designed to strengthen physicians’ effectiveness as clinical educators. Participants will explore key principles of adult learning theory and discover evidence‑based strategies for engaging learners in busy clinical environments. Through real‑world examples and interactive discussion, the course highlights techniques for delivering meaningful feedback, adapting teaching approaches to diverse learners, and creating a supportive learning climate. Physicians will leave with actionable tools they can immediately apply to enhance teaching, mentorship, and learner development across the continuum of medical education.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Compare common inpatient teaching practices, including their relative advantages and limitations.
- Describe the methods, evidence base, and potential benefits of bedside case presentations, also known as Patient-Centered Rounds (PCR).
- Apply Patient-Centered Rounds appropriately within the inpatient setting to support learner engagement and patient-centered care.
