Clinical Documentation is a critical part of healthcare today. Quality metrics and programs are based heavily on physician documentation.  Too complicate matters, the rules around coding and documentation change constantly.  Therefore, ongoing education for bedside clinicians is essential.

The goal of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) is to bridge the gap between clinical documentation and coding.  We strive to educate providers to accurately and comprehensively capture the care provided to patients, thereby demonstrating each patient’s complexity, justifying resource utilization and demonstrating the quality of care offered at Baylor Scott & White Health.
