2020 Acute and Chronic Pain Management and Opioid Prescribing for Outpatients - [IEM-Learn]

Acute and Chronic Pain Management and Opioid Prescribing for Outpatients is designed for providers to learn evidence-based treatment of pain, which will result in reduced long-term opioid prescribing and increased use of multimodal, multidisciplinary treatment for chronic pain.  By learning the neurophysiology of pain and viewing simulated "difficult conversations" with patients, they will be able to develop and implement new treatment plans with patients currently on long-term opioid therapy.  By learning diagnostic criteria for opiate use disorder and appropriate referral, they will be able to assist patients with opioid addictions to achieve recovery.
