2022 The Future of Epilepsy Surgery and Neurophysiology in the US

Neurologists and neurosurgeons who see patients who see patients with medically refractory epilepsy need to be educated on the current and coming advances in epilepsy monitoring, implantable stimulators, neuromodulation, and resective surgery to allow them to work together to provide improved seizure control for this patient population.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

  • Identify and select the appropriate patients referral to an epilepsy monitoring unit
  • Recognize the treatment options that may become available in the near future for patients with medically refractory epilepsy.
