“Creating an Organizational Culture for the Chest Physician” By Stoller, Dweik, and Rea

Consider your employees who may fit into the following categories:

  • Are superior performers
  • Are average performers (meet expectations) but have significant room for growth
  • Are performing at a below standard level

What strategies have you employed with each population in terms of maximizing performance?

PM

Consider the following questions:

  • Who are the key stakeholders in your physician practice and role within BSW??
  • If you could launch a new healthcare organization, how would design it?
  • What organizational systems within BSW should be evaluated for better alignment?
  • What key leadership behaviors are needed to influence large-scale organizational improvements?

Target Audience

Baylor Scott & White Health physicians

Learning Objectives

AM

Upon completion of the presentation, the physician should be able to answer:

  • What is the greatest predictor of employee engagement?
  • What are the four greatest needs that drive employee engagement and performance?
  • What are the missteps that well-intended leaders do that inadvertently diminish trust and engagement?

PM

In this session, we will take an in-depth view into organizational effectiveness and key models to both design new systems and diagnose existing ones. This will help the physician leader gain a broader, more strategic approach to evaluating the organization as a whole.
