Learning Objectives
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participants should be able to:
- Utilize Navigational Tips to include Tab, Enter, Alt keys and additional keyboard shortcuts
- Incorporate Environment Setup in use of EHR to include default startup, toolbars, status boards, schedules, patient lists, available lists, use of sidebar and the personalization of the environment to user preference
- Personalize In Basket folders and action buttons in the tool bar and determine routine handling on In Basket messages
- Perform Chart Review tasks: StoryBoard, Results Review, Synopsis, Quick Filters, and Chart Search
- Determine order tasks: Visit Diagnosis, Problem List, Common Diagnosis Button, Pre-Op/Pre-Admission Testing, IP/Bed-OP/house, Phase of Care, Orders Preference, Order Panels, and Order Sets
- Apply use of Notes in EHR: SmartTools, SmartTexts, SmartLink, SmartList, SmartBlock, SmartPhrase, M*Modal, and generate code for controlled substances
- Determine efficient uses of Haiku/Canto: Download/Login, Schedule/Patient lists, activities, and turn on/off notifications
- Access Resources: F1, EpiCenter tip sheets, and recent/upcoming changes/upgrades
