This conference was created to provide Advanced Practice Providers and Physicians with up-to-date clinical information to prepare for the care of pediatric patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the attendee should be able to:

  • Identify and treat emergent/urgent needs of pediatric patients.
  • Understand and identify when escalation of care is indicated in various different clinical situations.
  • Identify local resources to support the care of pediatric patients including emergency care, specialty care and planning.
  • Identify the most common differential for abnormal head shape, weight concerns/eating disorders, orthopedic complaints, and enuresis. 
  • Understand care of the adolescent with eating disorders in acute and outpatient setting. 
  • Discuss various case studies to apply knowledge gained and understand escalation of care in pediatric patients.
