Learning Objectives

- Identify early signs of maternal clinical deterioration using obstetric-specific early warning criteria
- Initiate timely, evidence-based management of common obstetric emergencies in accordance with national guidelines
- Escalate care appropriately and efficiently, engaging the correct team members without delay
- Apply standardized communication and teamwork strategies during obstetric emergencies
- Integrate learned protocols into daily clinical practice to reduce unwarranted variation in care
