Patient’s with a Type 2 MI have a prognosis just as bad, if not worse, than patients who have a STEMI or NSTEMI.
The need for continued conversations regarding these various metrics, indicates the need for more formalized resources available to educate providers.

- Identify criteria for acute myocardial injury
- Identify criteria for acute myocardial infarction
- Differentiate between Type 1 MI, Type 2 MI, and non-MI elevations in troponin
- Document and link the cause of Type 2 MI
- Document and link the cause of non-Mi troponin elevations
