Clone of 2020 Graduate Medical Education Retreat and Faculty Development - 20200828

The Graduate Medical Education Retreat and Faculty Development program will promote continuous preparation for ACGME self-study. It will provide familiarity with process and preparation for annual program evaluation. Participants will review virtual interview opportunities and resources to ensure success. The program will provide insight for the development of skills to allow firm, fair and appropriate redirection and application of resources to ensure boundary issues do not develop and/or escalate.

Learning Objectives

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize appropriate use, advantages and limitations of the following platforms as applied to GME to include Zoom, Teams, Twitter, Thalamus
  • Demonstrate physician accountability to patients, society, and profession in the performance of clinical and population-based duties
  • Respond appropriately to impairment in members of the healthcare team
  • Review lessons learned from the Last Annual Institutional Review
  • Incorporate lessons learned from AY19-20 and actions for AY20-21 into residency practice
