The pandemic has created stressors for all types of workplace teams. In healthcare, this is magnified due to high volume, illness, and anxiety about Covid. There is a need for leadership training about leading teams in the current environment. We also know that teams are most effective when they have diverse perspectives and all voices are valued including voices that may vary based on raise, gender, ethnicity, faith practices, etc.

- Discuss characteristics of highly functional teams and group formation
- Use appreciative inquiry as a way of understanding perspectives.
- Apply tools in communication among teams that facilitate perspective taking and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
