Learning Objectives
Designed to provide the internal medicine and primary care physician, physician assistant and nurse with information directly applicable to daily patient care. The topics represent some of the most common problems encountered in clinical practice and emphasis will be placed on the pertinent practical aspects of patient care and problems encountered in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Upon completion of this activity, the attendee should be able to:
- Apply current concepts in internal medicine to problems faced in daily practice
- Demonstrate better management and treatment of patients with medical problems commonly encountered in practice such as cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, hematology/oncology and wound care
- Improve knowledge and test-taking skills essential for successful ABIM certification and recertification
