OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

(1)Explain how transplant-related prophylaxis of HBV has historically evolved.
(2)Evaluate how detectable antibody to hepatitis b may protect against medication-related hepatitis b reactivation.
(3)Assess current findings of an investigator initiated protocol using an immune adjuvant containing HBV vaccine.
