Overview:
An estimated 5.5 million Americans live with dementia there is a need for multifaceted care delivery across the care continuum. At Baylor Scott and White Health there is a demand for dementia education by care team staff. Dementia care varies over time, even on a day-to-day basis, requiring constant adjustments to provide high quality care.

After participating in this activity, the learner should be able to:
- Identify clinical signs that there may be cognitive impairment.
- Perform cognitive screening appropriate for the patient based on their reading level.
- Identify key components included in the dementia workup.
- Tailor the patient’s treatment plan to the ever-changing dementia status of the patient.

- Learning how to identify, evaluate, and diagnose dementia in the clinical setting.
- Gain practical tips and insights for managing dementia using the 5Ms framework.
