Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to
- Delineate the stages of type 1 diabetes (T1D) development.
- Best practices for managing and supporting patients with or at risk of T1D including resource navigation.
- Review documentation requirements to support the most accurate ICD-10 diagnosis code(s) for T1D, including new codes for presymptomatic stages.
- The novel Immunomodulator Teplizumab and its role in delaying the progression of type 1 diabetes (T1D) from the presymptomatic stage.
