Leading Through Story: Finding Your Voice, Inspiring Change

Every great leader has a story. The most influential ones know how to tell it.

Join an inspiring community of women leaders in medicine for a transformative experience exploring how storytelling can strengthen leadership, deepen connections, and amplify impact. This dynamic event features keynote speaker Laurel Braitman, acclaimed author and storyteller, who will share how the stories we tell—about ourselves, our work, and our purpose—can shape the way we lead, inspire, and create meaningful change. Laurel Braitman is a New York Times bestselling author, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and Director of Writing and Storytelling for Stanford's Medical Humanities and the Arts Program. She is also the founder of Writing Medicine, a global community dedicated to helping healthcare professionals use storytelling to build resilience, foster connection, and communicate with authenticity. Her acclaimed books, including Animal Madness and What Looks Like Bravery, explore the intersections of medicine, science, grief, and human connection. Through her teaching, writing, and workshops, Dr. Braitman has inspired thousands of healthcare professionals to use narrative as a tool for leadership, healing, and personal growth. Her keynote will challenge attendees to consider how the stories we tell—about ourselves, our patients, our teams, and our organizations—shape the way we lead, influence others, and create meaningful change.

Throughout the event, participants will engage in interactive workshops designed to help them uncover their authentic voice, develop compelling narratives, and refine the storytelling skills that foster trust, influence, and resilience. Whether communicating with patients, mentoring colleagues, leading teams, or advocating for change, attendees will leave with practical tools to communicate with greater confidence and authenticity.

This is more than a leadership conference—it's an opportunity to connect with fellow women in medicine, discover the power of your own story, and learn how sharing it can elevate your leadership and inspire others.
