    This course is perfect for first time parents as well as for those who have already experienced childbirth. It will also provide parents with the information on breastfeeding, car seat safety and newborn care. Mother's must be delivering at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lakeway.

    This class focuses on preparation for childbirth, emphasizing the experience of labor and birth and the important role of the support person. A variety of comfort measures are taught and practiced in class, including relaxation and breathing techniques. Special Procedures and epidurals are discussed, as well as an overview of cesarean birth, postpartum, and the newborn. Registration fee includes partner.

    Let us help you have the informed birth you desire! Our class was designed and created to help take the fear out of childbirth through evidence-based research, education, and informed consent. Couples will be prepared for an empowered birth experience. This class is register/pay per couple so please only register yourself. One partner is automatically allowed to attend the class with you. Childbirth classes include a tour; you do not need to enroll in a standalone tour separately.

    This class is for expecting parents wondering what happens AFTER the baby comes. What's normal? Is baby pooping enough? What to look for? We will cover newborn appearance, bathing, diapering, growth spurts, milestones, safe sleeping & newborn sleep expectations, skin care, calming techniques, circumcision, intact care, and more. We'll also discuss choosing and when to call a pediatrician! This class is pay per couple, please only register yourself. One partner is automatically allowed to attend.

    This class for expectant parents focuses on the joys and common concerns of breastfeeding. Information includes the benefits for mothers and babies, initiating feedings, maintaining a milk supply and other practical considerations. Discussion includes combining breastfeeding and working and expression and storage of breast milk. Primary support persons are encouraged to attend.

    Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Waxahachie will host a NICU reunion to celebrate the lives of those babies that have graduated from the NICU. The NICU reunion is a time for those babies to be reunited with other families that have shared similar experiences, visit with the team members that have supported their families and celebrate their accomplishments through fellowship and celebration.

    Our In-Person Maternity Tour provides expectant families an opportunity to become familiar with all the services we provide on the Labor & Delivery and The New Family Center units. Please be sure to complete a separate registration for all who will attend the tour, including children and grandparents.     This class is designed to help new parents develop realistic expectations while learning the basics of infant care. Section 1: This class provides guidance on newborn care, including detailed instructions on swaddling, diapering, and other essential caregiving techniques. Section 2: The second part of the class focuses on breastfeeding, including techniques for positioning and latching, as well as what to expect as your milk supply establishes.
