This in-person class covers: • Evidence-based changes in birth • Breastfeeding • Baby care • Infant safety It also provides ways for new grandparents to offer support and assistance to the new family. You will learn what's new, refresh what you already know, and feel more comfortable when called upon to help care for your grandchild. Get ready to take on one of life's most rewarding roles!
This class focuses on preparation for childbirth, emphasizing the experience of labor and birth and the important role of the support person. A variety of comfort measures are taught and practiced in class, including relaxation and breathing techniques. Special Procedures and epidurals are discussed, as well as an overview of cesarean birth, postpartum, and the newborn.
This course is perfect for first time parents as well as for those who have already experienced childbirth. It will also provide parents with the information on breastfeeding, car seat safety and newborn care.
Baby Boot Camp is a hands‑on class designed to help expectant families feel ready for life with a newborn. Learn what to expect during your hospital stay and gain practical skills to care for your baby at home. What You’ll Learn: • Newborn behaviors and care basics • Common hospital procedures, tests, and medications • Breast and bottle-feeding guidance • Helpful tips for the first weeks at home Hands‑On Skills Lab: • Diapering & dressing • Swaddling techniques • Using a bulb syringe • Safely taking your baby’s temperature

Our hospital tour offers parents and siblings an opportunity to prepare for the big day. We will take a tour and answer any questions that might help ease any anxiety and make the process more enjoyable! This tour is offered at no cost. Childbirth Basics helps moms prepare for delivery during this most exciting time in your life. To assist those first-time parents, we offer comprehensive childbirth classes monthly, covering such topics as stages of labor and delivery, epidurals, postpartum care, breathing, relaxation and massage techniques, pain control strategies, interventions in labor, C sections and many more. Each class concludes with a tour of the OB Unit. Register expectant mother only.
