This two-day series focuses on preparation for childbirth, emphasizing the experience of labor and birth, as well as the important role of the support person. A variety of comfort measures are taught and practiced in class, including relaxation and breathing techniques. Special procedures and epidurals are discussed, along with an overview of cesarean birth, the postpartum period, and newborn care.
This course is an important planning tool for preparing for breast pump use and maximizing milk expression and storage. We will discuss and provide must- have resources for balancing and maintaining supply, preparing mom and baby and partner and returning to work. The knowledge a mom gains from this class will help with confidence and help establish pumping goals.

Intro to breastfeeding (With the Childbirth Class only, not in Accelerated Childbirth Class): This class covers labor, childbirth (Vaginal and Cesarean), and the basics of breastfeeding, including what to expect in the hospital.
Esta serie de cuatro semanas se reúne una vez a la semana y ofrece una visión integral de todo el proceso del parto, desde el trabajo de parto y el parto hasta la atención posparto y los elementos esenciales del recién nacido. 1. Las semanas 1 y 2 se enfocan en el embarazo, el proceso de parto y los procedimientos médicos comunes. 2. La semana 3 incluye un recorrido por las instalaciones y una clase dedicada a la lactancia materna.
