This two‑day childbirth education series provides comprehensive preparation for labor and birth, with a focus on the childbirth experience and the essential role of the support person.

 

Participants will learn and practice:

  • Comfort measures to support coping during labor
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Breathing techniques

The class also covers:

  • Special procedures
  • Epidural anesthesia
  • Overview of cesarean birth
  • Postpartum recovery
  • Newborn care

A guided maternity tour is included to help participants feel familiar with the facility and confident for their delivery experience. Separate registration for a maternity tour is not required.

Target Audience

Registration includes one expectant parent + support person.

  • What to Bring: Participants are asked to bring pillows. Yoga mats will be provided.
