ForwardChildbirth Basics: Lake Pointe (In-Person Patient Class)
Childbirth Basics helps moms prepare for delivery during this most exciting time in your life. To assist those first-time parents, we offer comprehensive childbirth classes monthly, covering such topics as stages of labor and delivery, epidurals, postpartum care, breathing, relaxation and massage techniques, pain control strategies, interventions in labor, C sections and many more. Each class concludes with a tour of the OB Unit.
Breastfeeding: Lake Pointe (In-Person Patient Class)
Breastfeeding covers the benefits for both the mom and baby, getting off to a good start in the hospital, tips for the first few weeks at home, how to get help if problems arise, and advice on pumping and weaning.
For social distancing, classes are being limited to 10 couples per class.

Baby Boot Camp: Lake Pointe (In-Person Patient Class)
Baby Boot Camp covers the characteristics of newborns, hospital procedures, tests and medications, breast and bottle feeding, tips for the first few weeks at home, and a skills lab that includes diapering, dressing, swaddling, using a bulb syringe, and taking temperature.
For social distancing, classes are being limited to 10 couples per class.

NICU Reunion - Lake Pointe
Baylor Scott & White - Lake Pointe will host a NICU reunion to celebrate the lives of those babies that have graduated from the NICU.
The NICU reunion is a time for those babies to be reunited with other families that have shared similar experiences, visit with the team members that have supported their families and celebrate their accomplishments through fellowship and celebration.
