Upcoming Classes
This class focuses on preparation for childbirth, emphasizing the experience of labor and birth and the important role of the dad/partner. A variety of comfort measures are taught and practiced in class, including relaxation and breathing techniques. Special Procedures and epidurals are discussed, as well as an overview of cesarean birth, postpartum, and the newborn.
Class includes maternity tour. Registration fee includes partner.

This class is register/pay per couple so please only register yourself. One partner is automatically allowed to attend the class with you.

Childbirth Basics helps moms prepare for delivery during this most exciting time in your life. To assist those first-time parents, we offer comprehensive childbirth classes monthly, covering such topics as stages of labor and delivery, epidurals, postpartum care, breathing, relaxation and massage techniques, pain control strategies, interventions in labor, C sections and many more. Each class concludes with a tour of the OB Unit.
Register expectant mother only.

This class is 1 day a week for 4 consecutive weeks that focuses on the entire labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum phases while in the hospital.
First two weeks is focused on pregnancy, labor and procedures
Third week is a facility tour and breastfeeding class. During this week we will start in the south tower at 6:00pm, first floor front lobby… instructor will come and get the class all together
Fourth week is post-partum newborn care
Primary support person encouraged to attend.

This class alternative is for couples who prefer learning in the comfort of their own home and at their own pace or for couples who are on bedrest or who have scheduling conflicts. This interactive program includes videos and illustrations that provides couples with the skills that are essential to an informed childbirth experience.
